In the last few years, United Nation UNHCR asked Afrikanet to provide wireless LAN in MALI thanks to the technology of the ROHN tower.

Afrikanet provided the tower via the company ROHM and sprayed wireless internet around to facilitate the needs of African people and connection between them.

The tower is a ROHN 25G. The 25G is available in the standard 10’ section length and a 7’ length which is UPS shippable. The 25G uses double bolted joints, proven to be the best method of joining tower sections for sturdiness and dependability. As a guyed structure, the 25G standard designs rise to a height of 190’. An 80’ tower can resist wind up to 30miles/h, and a 120’ up to 110miles/h.

The challenge of this project for Afrikanet was the shipment of the equipment. AFRIKANET succeed to provide the equipment in Mali in time from America by boat through Senegal by road.
